1. Setting X-lite

1.1. Download the application

Access  X-lite main page to download the latest version http://www.counterpath.com/x-lite-download/

Note: Choose the correct operating system version

1.2. Setting the application

Step 1: After the download progress completes, you click on the download symbol X-Lite_5.0.3_88254.exe

Step 2: A License Agreement confirmation window will appear, user do:

• Tick  “I accept the terms in the Licence Agreement”

• Choose Accept button

• A confirmation window appears, you choose “Yes” to start installing the application

  

Step 3: After installing completely, the user open the X-lite application, the application interface will look like this:

2. Setting SIP trên X-lite account

2.1. SIP account information

2.2. Setting SIP account on X-lite

Step 1: Enter Softphone, chooser Account Settings

Step 2: At Account Tab, fill in the corresponding SIP account information in the information fields below, refer to the information map in section 2.1, then choose OK

Step 3: At Transport tab, choose TCP, choose OK

Step 4: At Advance tab, adjust Register every field = 300, Minimum time field = 20, choose OK

Step  5: After setting completely, the user needs to check that the listening/talking device is working on the device. To check,

• User enters Softphone → Preference → Device → Headset Mode.

• Choose Headset device (Note must choose the correct the device)

• Choose Test Device to ensure listening/voice works

• Finally choose OK

  

Note: To use the Headset, you must choose the Headset icon outside the X-lite interface

Step 6: Configure Audio codec, user enters Softphone → Preference → Audio Codec. Here, the user only activates 2 codecs: G711 uLaw, G711 aLaw
